Matt Herman's Update (3D)

I have finished my Alabaster. I'm not sure whether to wax and polish it or not. I have wax to use.

Also my Cardboard mock-up is complete. It is like an explosion. I really like it. Both the Alabaster and the cardboard I am very happy with. I have come up with my tessellation and I am making sure it works on the computer before I print it large and carve the balsa foam.

P.S. the Alabaster sparkles! If polishing and waxing helps it sparkle more then I just might. The light shines through it pretty well, with the beautiful hole.

  1. I'm digg'n the 3rd view of the modular piece, but no so much the 1st and 2nd. Do you see how the center is really clumped together . maybe when we bend the metal we'll use, you can bend it a little more. This might give you a chance to open the center of the sculpture more that will create more movement in the piece.

Love the hole in the stone. I'm having a hard time imagining it..wait on the wax/polish until we determine if it is finished being carved yet. Also, we might want to thing about if it need some kind of back to compliment it.
